LibTech and Quicksliver Pro Travis Rice has been pushing the limits of freestyle riding for years now, and released his newest full feature movie this year, The Art Of Flight. AOF might just be one of the best snowboard movies ever made and showcases every type of riding from big mountain to park and pipe. With US made brand Lib Technologies backing Travis, he gets all the technology he needs in his snowboards to go further and push the limits even more. This Travis Rice limited board comes with all the same amazing technology as his regular Pro Model board, but with a limited graphic and a full color book on the making of AOF, as well as the AOF blu-ray and dvd combo movie pack. 30th Anniversary Burton US Open

This past weekend Burton Snowboards held the 30th annual US Open Snowboarding Championships. This year it was bigger and better than ever. If you weren't lucky enough to be there in person, here is a small recap of what you missed out on. Video coming soon...

The Slopestyle course was as big as ever, with a two jump line and plenty of jibs and wallrides.

Shot of the last rail section and the course ender.

Greg Bretz going big in the pipe on Saturday, he finished 5th.

Shaun White with one of the biggest airs of the week, taking home first.

Mens Halfpipe winners:  Benji Farrow in 3rd, Louie Vito in 2nd, and Shaun White with the win.

And the Womens Halfpipe winners were: CT born and raised Ellery Hollingsworth in 3rd,  Kelly Clark in 2nd, and Elana Hight in 1st.

Snow Park Technologies outdid themselves with this years night jam set up, with a mellow  90 ft. jump, a full sized quarterpipe,  and massive wallrides and rails resulting in one of the biggest displays of controlled chaos ever at an Open. Awards went to Best Jumper and Best Rail Rider for men and women.  There was plenty of local talent holding it down for the East Coast!

Mens Best Rail Rider and Jumper winners were both New England riders: Shaun Murphy (Hailing from Massachusetts and Mt. Snow local), and NH born and raised Chas Guldemond. Congrats Shaun and Chas!!

Jones Snowboards

Many people may not know one of the biggest names in the freeride snowboard community grew up right here in New England! Jeremy Jones started riding at 9 years old and at just 16 turned pro for Rossignol Snowboards, at which time he primarily focused on racing. After racing for several years, he later turned to big mountain riding, a decision which would turn him into one of the most progressive and notable names in snowboarding. Today still pushing the sport, he has parted ways with Rossignol to create his own snow company, Jones Snowboards. Jones Snowboards, which are handmade in Switzerland, use premium materials and patented technology thats keeps big mountain riding progressing.

One of the most popular boards in the line, with mellow magne-traction, cam-rocker, and a medium flex The Mountain Twin has won numerous awards for its twin but versatile shape and all mountain feel. In stock 159 and 164w.
The Flagship is the big mountain killer, and Jeremy Jones' board for any backcountry riding. Stiffer flex along with mellow magne-traction and cam-rock insures a stable and fast ride. In stock 158, 161, 163w.
The Hovercraft is Jones' powder board with an old school fish look. Directional rocker insures its float in deep snow, and the mellow magne-traction gives optimum edge hold on groomers.  In stock 156 cm.

Congratulations Ryan Staron!

Cutting Edge BMX Team rider, Ryan Staron spent this past weekend in Toronto Canada riding in the 2012 Toronto BMX Jam. Ryan finished 9th in finals out of the 81 participants from the US and Canada in the senior amateur class. Keep a look out for him in the future...way to go Ryan!

2013 Skunk Ape HP 165

Yes folks it's still snowing and the title is correct! We have gotten our hands on a 2013 Lib Tech Skunk Ape Horse Power 165! We all know big feet could cause big problems for any serious snowboarder who wants to ride aggressive. No other wide board will give you the amount of edge hold and turning power like the Skunk Ape will, and new for next season the board will have Horse Power making it lighter, even more powerful, and more responsive edge to edge. Not only is this thing rad but it's our only one, and to top it off we have it sale priced at $569.99 (reg. $700)!!
